Series 66: Contract Exchange

Taken from our Series 66 Online Guide

Contract Exchange

A variable life insurance policy owner has the right to exchange her policy for a traditional policy (typically whole life) with comparable features. Federal law requires the insurance company to make the exchange option available for at least the first two years of the policy. The new policy must offer comparable benefits. The length of time of the policy will be carried over when calculating the new premium values.
