The Form 10-K is a less glossy, more comprehensive version of the annual report that must be filed with the SEC. It is designed for regulators and not to impress the investing public. It typically contains most of the information found in the annual report, plus more detailed financial statements that must be audited by an accounting firm that is independent from the company itself.
