Treasury Bonds

Treasury bonds (T-bonds) are currently issued with a 30-year term; the 30-year bond is often referred to as the long bond. Like T-notes, T-bonds pay interest every six months and are redeemed for par value. The yield on the long bond is dependent on prevailing opinions about long-term interest rates and inflation.
