Listing Requirements

Stock exchanges, like many human institutions, cultivate an air of prestige. It wouldn’t do to let just anybody with a pulse, a fistful of stock certificates, and a desire to raise capital waltz onto a stock exchange and start selling shares. (Although some market observers suggest that this is essentially what happened in the dot-com bubble of the late 1990s.) Consequently the world’s major stock exchanges, as well as the SEC and comparable reg
