6.2.1.1. Bar Charts

The daily bar chart is the most widely used chart in commodities trading. Each day’s market activity is represented by a vertical bar with a tick to its right. The horizontal axis represents the passage of time, while the vertical axis represents a commodity’s price activity during each day. The vertical bar represents the range of prices for that day from high to low, and the tick represents the day’s close.
