Ex-Dates for Securities Transactions

Ex-dates can also apply to warrants, rights, and ADRs—any type of security that confers a benefit to its owner on a certain date. For these securities, if a buyer buys a security on or after the ex-date, the buyer will not receive the benefit.

The following rules apply to ex-dividend and ex-warrant dates:

  • For dividends and warrants under 25% of the market value
