Series 27: Simplified Arbitration

Taken from our Series 27 Online Guide

Simplified Arbitration

Claims involving less than $50,000 may adopt a simplified arbitration procedure if the customer (or the claimant, in the case of an industry dispute) requests one. With a simplified arbitration, neither a hearing nor a prehearing conference will be held. A single arbitrator will decide based strictly on the pleadings and other materials submitted by the parties.
