2.2.2.9. Inadvertent Advice
If a non-solicitor municipal advisor inadvertently provides advice or other municipal advisory services to a municipal entity and does not wish to continue these services, it may avoid the disclosure of conflicts of interest and the documentation of municipal advisory relationship requirements of Rule G-42 by providing to the municipal entity a written document that contains the following:
• A statement that the advisor did not mean to provide the advice or service and that it will immediately cease
• A statement that it has not disclosed its conflicts of interest
• A list of the advice that was provided
• A request for acknowledgment of receipt of the written document
