2.2.2.1. Duty of Care

In order to fulfill its duty of care to all its clients, the non-solicitor municipal advisor must:

• Have enough knowledge and expertise to give informed advice to the municipal entity or obligated person

• Reasonably inquire into all relevant facts before allowing a municipality to proceed on a particular course of action or before giving advice

• Undertake a reasonable investigation to determine that its advice is not based on mater
