Minor Rule Violations
In the case of a minor rule violation that a member firm or associated person chooses not to dispute, the Department of Enforcement or Department of Market Regulation may propose and request that the respondent execute a minor rule violation plan (MRVP) letter. As with a letter of acceptance, waiver, and consent, an MRVP letter accepts a finding of violation, consents to the imposition of sanctions, and agrees to waive the right to a hearing and appeal. It, too, must describe the act or practice under complaint, the rule or regulation violated, and the sanctions to be imposed.
