3.10.3. Roth 401(k) plans
Roth 401(k), Roth 403(b), and Roth 457 plans are employer-sponsored retirement plans that have similarities to both Roth IRAs and traditional 401(k), 403(b), and 457 plans. As with a Roth IRA, participants make after-tax dollar contributions to the account. As long as they are over 59 1/2 years old and have had the account for five years or more, they can make all withdrawals tax-free. Income earned in the account will not be taxed, even at withdrawal.
