9.1.5.2. Electronic Communications and Social Media

Electronic communications include websites, blogs, webinars, and social media sites, such as Twitter and Facebook. For regulatory purposes, electronic communications come in two types: static and interactive.

Communications containing static content are considered under FINRA rules to be retail communications, and they require approval by a registered principal prior to being posted.
