Independent Auditor’s Report

The independent auditor’s report should be the first report in the financial section, and it will indicate whether the auditor finds the financial statements to be accurate and fair. The auditor does not give an opinion on the merits of the organization. Instead, the auditor looks for two specific things when writing the opinion. First, do the statements conform to Government Auditing Standards? Second, do the financial statements fairly represent the organization’s financial accounts?
