The Deal File

The deal file is essentially an archive of relevant information and documentation for a specific transaction. Someone must compile the deal file—and at some point, that someone is likely to be you. FINRA’s Series 79 outline provides a decent summary of the types of documentation a deal file typically includes:

correspondence with underwriting group members, selling groups and/or the issuer, archives of pitch and marketing materials, infor
