5.1.4.  Other Revenue Sources

Sometimes a municipality imposes a sales or income tax. User fees, such as parking permits and marriage licenses, and fines for traffic and code violations add non-tax revenue to a municipality’s income. Revenue from such taxes and fees may also be used to back general obligation bonds.
