2.1.  Denominations

Most municipal bonds are sold in denominations and multiples of $5,000. Some bonds are still issued in $1,000 denominations, with $1,000 increments. Some municipal bonds, such as variable rate bonds and municipal notes, have denominations of $100,000 or more.

Note: The test may use municipal bonds with denominations of $1,000 to make calculations easier.
