1.2.2.3  Corporate Accounts

Corporations may open accounts at a member firm and in the process must provide the broker-dealer with a copy of the corporate charter, as well as a corporate resolution. A corporate resolution is a document that gives written authorization to open the account and names the corporate employees who will have trading authority in the account. The corporation, not the authorized employee, is the customer of the brokerage.
