Other Revenue Sources

Sometimes a large municipality offers a sales or income tax that it can use to help pay its debts.

User fees, such as parking permits and marriage licenses, as well as fines for traffic and code violations, add non-tax revenue to a municipality’s income.

Revenue from such taxes and fees may also be used to back general obligation bonds.

I had the Series 50 study guide memorized backwards and forwards, but still found the exam to be extremely difficult. I think the study guide still needs a lot of refining to cover more of the exam content, but I sure as heck wouldn't have passed the exam without it.
