When a revenue bond is issued, a rate consultant will help to determine what rates must be charged in order to meet debt service requirements. For example, if a power plant is being built with the bond proceeds, the rate consultant will help determine the cost that must be passed along to the customer.

I had the Series 50 study guide memorized backwards and forwards, but still found the exam to be extremely difficult. I think the study guide still needs a lot of refining to cover more of the exam content, but I sure as heck wouldn't have passed the exam without it.
