Definition of the term Maintaining Qualifications Program (MQP)...

a FINRA program that individuals leaving the securities industry may participate in. Under the MQP, the individual completes annual continuing education. An individual who complies with this requirement has five years to reregister in their old registration category without retaking their qualification exams, instead of the normal to years.
