Definition of the term Cramdown...

in a Chapter 11 bankruptcy, confirmation of the reorganization plan by the bankruptcy court despite some classes having rejected it. This is only possible if at least one class accepted the plan. Additionally, the debtor must show in court that the plan does not discriminate unfairly against any of the classes who rejected it.
