Definition of the term Administrative Expenses...

Among the unsecured claims that commonly occur in business bankruptcies, administrative expenses have the highest priority, placing them just below secured claims. Examples of administrative expenses include trustee fees, legal fees, and in Chapter 11 bankruptcies, certain costs of continuing to operate the business.
