Series 79: Share Multiple

Definition of the term Share Multiple...

in a business combination, the price that the buyer offers to pay per share of the target’s stock divided by the buyer’s own share price. If payment at least partly consists of the buyer’s shares, then the share multiple will be needed to calculate the number of shares that will exist after the merger or acquisition.
