Series 79: Future Value

Definition of the term Future Value...

an estimated value of an investment at a future point in time. Reasonable assumptions about the investment’s future returns are used to relate the future value to a present value representing how much the investment should be worth in today’s dollars. Depending on the situation, future value might be calculated from present value, or vice versa.
