Value

As noted previously, value investors look for stocks that appear to be undervalued, then buy and hold such stocks until the market recognizes the “true” value of the stock. The objective is to find stocks that are underpriced—which is not the same thing as underperforming—often by using techniques of fundamental analysis. A value investment strategy requires a reasonably long time horizon.
