Series 24: Convertible Securities

Taken from our Series 24 Online Guide

Convertible Securities

Convertible securities may be issued in bonds or preferred stock. The benefit of a convertible security is that it allows the investor to convert the security into another form, typically into common stock. This way, the investor can benefit from the company’s growth at a lower risk than purchasing common stock outright.
