Definition of the term Stapled Financing...

a financing package that the sell-side adviser in an M&A transaction prepares in advance and offers to prospective buyers. It is potentially an additional source of profit for the sell-side adviser. It may also speed up the bidding process, and encourage more bids by assuring potential buyers that financing is available.
