Series 79: Classes

Definition of the term Classes...

in a bankruptcy, the groups into which the court sorts substantially similar claims and interests. There must be a minimum of one class for each different level of priority. For example, secured and unsecured claims cannot be grouped together in a class. In large bankruptcies, claims/interests of the same priority might be further divided into smaller classes.
