Series 79: Valuation Range

Taken from our FINRA Investment Banking Exam

Definition of the term Valuation Range...

the interval between the highest and lowest reasonable valuations suggested by a particular valuation method and set of assumptions. Often, the end product of a valuation will be a valuation range instead of a single numbers. Valuation ranges produced using different methods and/or assumptions may be compared, and a final valuation range may be based on this comparison.
