Jeremy Solomon’s interest in investing was sparked in junior high school when he took a summer school class on the stock market. In addition to Solomon Exam Prep, Jeremy is the founder of Inkwater Press and First Books. He was the founding admininstrator of Practicing Attorneys for Law Students in New York City, an educational program for law students at New York City area law schools. Jeremy received an MBA from the Wharton School of Business and a BA in History (with Distinction) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Karen Solomon has a BA in Mathematics from St. Olaf College and a PhD in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Chicago. For many years, she worked as a Psychology Professor teaching and doing research on how the brain learns and memorizes information. She has taught at Northwestern University, Willamette University, and Lewis and Clark University, winning awards for her teaching. Three years ago, she joined Solomon Exam Prep to help develop better educational products and services. She has a particular passion for designing materials and classes that are better at helping people remember and learn new information.
Bob Pisani has devoted more than 10 years to delivering licensing training at some of the top financial services companies in the world including Lincoln Financial Group, ING and The Vanguard Group. Professor Pisani teaches online and on-site classes, creates training curriculum and provides individualized tutoring to Solomon Exam Prep’s customers. He has personally assisted over a thousand students to prepare for and successfully pass their FINRA and insurance licensing exams. Professor Pisani prides himself on his unique training style that engages the audience and breaks down complicated subject matter into lessons that can be easily understood by all. What sets Bob apart is the individual attention that he gives to each student and his sincere desire to help every student succeed.
Samantha Hagen graduated from Portland State University with a BS in Music and a minor in Mathematics. Samantha honed her customer service skills during past experience in technology and property management. As Manager of Fulfillment & Customer Service at Solomon Exam Prep, Samantha helps our individual and corporate customers with their distinct needs.
Cassie Pinkerton Marketing Manager at Solomon Exam Prep, manages external messaging and social media for the organization. Cassie earned a B.A. in Communications Studies from the University of Oregon and brings over ten years of writing, marketing and business development experience to Solomon Exam Prep. Prior to joining the Solomon team, Cassie managed content marketing and social media marketing for PR Newswire’s PR Toolkit, an online portal dedicated to educating small business owners and nonprofits on PR & marketing solutions for their business. Linda Franklin earned her BA in English at Yale University and moved directly into the publishing world. Linda has worked as an editor in a university setting as well as for numerous book publishers. Her experience in editing educational materials for over three decades has made her a vital part of the Solomon Exam Prep team, as she has been our Editor-In-Chief for over 10 years.
Masha Shubin is a quintessential Renaissance woman, with over fifteen years of experience in web and graphic design. As Art Director for Solomon Exam Prep, she makes full use of her creativity and skills in graphic design. From book covers to product marketing, Masha has been an integral part of Solomon Exam Prep’s success for over 10 years.
Emily Dueker comes to Solomon Exam Prep with a BA from Pacific University. Her background in photography, graphic design and video help Emily provide excellent support to our Art Director, Masha Shubin. Whether it’s assisting Masha in creating the look of book covers or promotional materials, Emily’s passion for books, art and people influence her unique abilities in design.
Alan Bellman earned his BS from the University of Michigan and JD from Ohio State University. He joined Solomon Exam Prep as accounting manager with over thirty years of financial experience in the printing and publishing industries. Alan specializes in the areas of estimating, cost accounting, finance and business management.
Al Schaller has twenty years’ experience in the electric utility industry ranging from rate design and power contract negotiations to short term marketing and trading, to risk management. Al received degrees from Indiana University (BA, English) and the University of Oregon (MS, Economics). Al writes and develops content and his published writings include literary translations and essays.
Ken Clark, CFP received his Business Management degree from Pepperdine University, completed a three-year program of study with the College of Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado and received his MS in Counseling Psychology from National University. Ken has been working in the financial planning industry for over a decade: as a researcher at a large mutual fund, a stockbroker at one of the largest brokerage firms and as founder and president of his own investment advisory firm. He has also sat on the pension management board of one of the largest nonprofit organizations in the country. Ken uses his top-notch skills (he scored 100% on the NASAA Series 63 exam) in creating training curriculum for the NASAA Series 63 exam and Life & Health Insurance licensing exams.
Noah Freed graduated from Lewis & Clark College with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Mathematics. His attention to detail and previous research experience at Lewis & Clark and Oregon Health & Sciences University provide an excellent foundation for editing content in our exam preparatory materials.
